Warranty Coverage
For a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase, Mako Wood Furniture warrants its products against:
- Manufacturing Defects: We cover defects in both materials and overall workmanship.
- Structural & Craftsmanship Defects: This includes failures in the construction of the furniture, such as issues with joints and structural assemblies.
What is Not Covered (Exclusions)
Because solid wood is a natural, breathing material, and to ensure fair use of our products, this warranty does not cover the following:
- Natural Wood Characteristics: Variations in wood grain, natural color changes, and natural wood movement (such as minor expanding or contracting) are inherent to solid wood and are not considered defects.
- Environmental Damage: Damage caused by extreme climate conditions, including inadequate or excessive humidity levels, is strictly excluded.
- Everyday Wear and Tear: Normal aging, superficial scratches, or wear on the finish that occurs with regular use are not covered.
- Misuse and Abuse: Any damage resulting from negligence, misuse, accidents, or improper care will void this warranty.
- Transport Damage: Damage incurred during moving or transportation after the initial delivery.
- Commercial Use: This warranty applies to standard residential use only; commercial or institutional use is excluded.
Aftercare & Maintenance
To preserve the beauty and longevity of your solid wood furniture, please adhere to the following care instructions:
- Cleaning: Use only a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the surfaces.
- Avoid Damage: Do not use any harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners on the furniture, as these can permanently damage the wood finish.
Claim Process
If you experience a structural or manufacturing defect covered under this 1-year warranty, please contact the authorized dealer where you originally purchased the furniture. Please provide them with your original proof of purchase and clear photos of the defect. Your authorized dealer will then coordinate directly with Mako Wood Furniture to evaluate and process your claim.
